AUDITION DATES
Below are the Audition dates/deadlines for the coming school year.
November 2 , 2024 - Priority deadline for scholarship.
January 25, 2025 - Priority deadline for scholarship.
March 8, 2025 Last audition date for scholarship consideration.
April 12, 2025 - Last audition day.
Contact the Music Department office via Music@uca.edu and fill out the Music Department Application. This application does not guarantee acceptance into the program, acceptance is dependent upon your audition. If you are able to attend these dates, contact me and we will set up another audition date.
Undergraduate:
– Two scales: to be selected from ALL major and minor scales.
– Two contrasting movements from any solo work (concerto, sonata, etc.) or standard studies for the particular instrument (no piano accompaniment)
– Sight-reading
Graduate:
– Three standard orchestral/band excerpts
– A twenty-minute program that includes at least three works from various musical periods or demonstrates different musical styles
